The Naturgy Foundation is a non-profit institution that was founded in 1992 by Naturgy and targets its activity at the promotion of information, training and increased social awareness on improving energy efficiency and technological innovation in the field of energy while respecting and protecting the environment. It also promotes cultural activities through its Gas Museum aimed at preserving and spreading knowledge about the historical and cultural heritage of the sector while carrying out an export support programme aimed at small- and medium-sized enterprises.

The presence of Naturgy in Europe, Latin America and the Maghreb has always given the foundation an open and international approach to the issues it tackles. Its activities are carried out in Algeria, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Morocco, Italy, Moldova and South Africa.

First Export Programme

Initially launched in Argentina in 2001 and brought to Spain from 2014 onwards, the First Export Programme focuses on helping SMEs to take their first steps in the field of exports anywhere in the world through a comprehensive programme of free and continuous training that includes classroom and online training sessions, advice, and personalised tutorials.

Gas Museum

The foundation promotes cultural activities aimed at the preservation and spread of historical and cultural heritage in the gas and electricity sector through the Gas Museum. Set up in 2012, this cultural centre combines a permanent exhibition with the organisation of temporary exhibitions, conferences, an educational programme for schools, activities for children and adults, and film and music festivals.

Historical Archives

The Historical Archives comprise over 3,000 linear metres of documentation in 50 collections. These collections correspond to the main company (Naturgy) and the various subsidiaries acquired over the years. The documentation includes photographs, plans, reports, minutes, deeds and actions created by the company over its more than 170 years of history.
